The Pieterse - family has been in the jewellery industry since the early 80's.  Theo Pieterse began creating jewellery on their farm “La Riviera” in the Bultfontein district as a hobby.  His stunning handiwork became so popular among the farming community’s women that he later began a shop “La Riviera Jewellers” in Bultfontein.

Jaco, Theo’s eldest son soon followed in his father footsteps and started a jeweller’s shop in Welkom called Gold Craft.  Soon to follow was Rean, the middle son, who realized Bloemfontein also needed the Pieterse’s craftsmanship and creativity and founded his shop “Jewel Craft” about 24 years ago in Bloemfontein.

Jewel Craft at the Brandwag Centre, started off as a small shop which mostly created jewellery and went from strength to strength, now selling popular and unique jewellery, watches and gifts. We take pride in our engraving department, where we make customised trophies and also sell the standard trophies and medals. Engraving has become so popular and with our laser engraver we engrave much faster and gives off a more elegant and professional look. Today, we are proud to say that the trophies, engraving and watch repairs runs on a separate premise for customers convenience and speedier services. Rean has the creativity and patience to create anything that your heart can ever desire.  Rean works on the designs himself in the workshop, to make sure that each product is precisely what the client wants. There isn’t a ring that leaves the store without Rean’s approval.
